Etching on luxury parchment, signed and justified « épreuve d’artiste sur parchemin » embossed panther-head stamp lower right. One of a few rare luxury print on parchment.

History :
Frontispiece of a series of prints gathered in the form of an album published for Galerie Weill by Editions Apollo in 1931. From this portfolio were printed one hundred numbered copies from 1 to 100 as well as eleven luxury albums on Japan old numbered from I to XI. The artist will reserve a few luxury copies on parchment for each of the subjects. Some of these albums were nestled in a studded leather case made by Hermès and decorated with an etching of the artist (using a model of a door hammer carved from his creation).
